Food sustainability begins with nutritional awareness about the foods we eat. Then understanding the need to support local produce and as to why we need to pay more for our locally grown food. It is not just about food security, but also about better tasting, more nutritious and safe produce for us all. Complement our Asian palettes by including colourful superfoods! Did you know that colourful foods are generally higher in nutritional value and healthy benefits? Let's make our food more fun. Include the family of super foods: different varieties of kale, swiss chards (bright reds, yellow or rare rainbow coloured ones), baby radishes. Participants will get to learn about: 1. Advocate eating real food such as super salad greens, to receive iron, calcium, vitamin C and antioxidants from these vegies, instead of bottle supplements. 2. How to understand their food better to incorporate super greens into daily diets. 3. Eating super foods as a salad green (fresh off farm shelves) . Note: Fruits, nuts and granolas will be additionally provided and added to your super salad creation. Subjected to availability, slow-pressed juices (Hurom / Kuvings) might be made available. Note: if >12 participants, group will be split into 2 batches between workshop and farm tour to facilitate immersive experience for all (Minimum 10 participants) (Rates are not inclusive of applicable 8% GST)
