Our food recycling rate in Singapore is only about 20%. Food waste can be easily composted and turned into valuable fertiliser for plants, but some people find this challenging to practice at home. So what else can be done to encourage people to recycle their food waste? Our experiences partner will share with you the reconstructed idea of recycling food waste by making it fun and easy as you explore ways to reduce food wastage. Participants will learn: 1. Traditional hand-building pottery techniques that originate as far back as 30,000 years ago, as you create beautiful and functional products that fertilise plants, and this could incline us to enjoy growing our own plants and even edible crops in our own homes, thereby strengthening our food supply chain. 2. The benefits of different kinds of food waste. 3. How to reduce and recycle your own food waste. (Minimum 10 participants) (Rates are not inclusive of applicable 8% GST)
