With limited sessions this 2023, participate in a premium sustainability experience offering from Polo Ralph Lauren x Aloha: Refashion pre-loved apparel into personalised knot bags. McKinsey reports that the fashion industry contributes about 4% of global greenhouses gases. According to a study conducted by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, re-using 1 kg of clothing saves 25 kg of CO2 emissions! We can help extend the shelf life of clothing by refashioning them into useful products. What better way than to experience this within a luxury retailer's boutique space? Participants will get to: 1) Refashion pre-loved apparels, shirts, into a useful custom knot bag. 2) Learn about the different stitches for hand-sewing (running stitch, back stitch etc). 3) Learn how to repurpose a fabric and give it a second life as something new. 4) Deconstruct / reconstruct fabrics as you piece them together to form your custom knot bag. 5) Experience a one-of-a-kind sustainability experience within a luxury retail boutique!
